Proyecto consistente en una unidad didáctica sobre el cuento de Caperucita roja, para trabajar los contenidos de lengua extranjera y literatura infantil. El trabajo tenía dos objetivos generales: promover la lectura comprensiva de textos simples y breves relacionados con las actividades del aula y comprender textos orales y escritos que hacen referencia a objetos. Otros objetivos didácticos de la experiencia eran: aprender el vocabulario de las partes del cuerpo, utilizar estrategias verbales, no verbales, etc., desarrollar la imaginación de los alumnos y comprender el cuento de Caperucita roja.

Ladies on the loose : contemporary female travel as a 'promiscuous' excursion

This paper maps gendered trouble spots in contemporary works of female travel. Since travel itself is a metaphor for the slippage or displacement of cultural knowledge, there is need for closer and more complex readings of the female practice. This paper locates the contemporary female traveller on ground and on page, and flags some of the cultural myths and misconceptions that affect how she moves through the world. When women travel, they inscribe themselves across landscapes that have been previously overlooked, openly discarded and largely unexamined. In doing so, they travel intricate courses due to historical connections between wandering and promiscuity and continuing confusions between issues of mobility and morality in the modern world. Taking gender then as its interpretative parameter, this paper explores the troublesome nature of women’s travel, citing various texts as examples.

Bois dormant suivi de La réécriture féministe contemporaine de quatre contes dans Putain de Nelly Arcan et Peau d'âne de Christine Angot

La création, Bois dormant, met en scène un charpentier-ébéniste qui consacre tous ses temps libres à la création de mobilier, dans un cycle de production inutile. Sa dilapidation insensée de bois incite la nature à se révolter contre lui et à propager une énergie qui donne vie à tous les objets de sa maison. Ce conte revisite plusieurs contes (La Barbe bleue, Les Aventures de Pinocchio, Otesánek, La Belle au bois dormant, Les Aventures d’Alice au pays des merveilles, Cendrillon) pour les transformer en cauchemar, en effriter les morales, en décupler les cruautés et en utiliser les motifs pour illustrer l’absurdité du monde moderne. Ce conte-Frankenstein, par son esthétique baroque où prime la parenthèse, fait de la surenchère un reflet de la surconsommation. L’essai, La réécriture féministe contemporaine de quatre contes dans Putain, de Nelly Arcan et Peau d’âne, de Christine Angot, explore comment, par les réécritures qu’ils inspirent, les contes de Perrault et des frères Grimm constituent un puissant matériau d’incarnation qui facilite la venue à l’écriture du traumatisme chez Christine Angot et Nelly Arcan, mais qui sert aussi d’outil de dénonciation féministe pour elles. Dans Putain, de Nelly Arcan, la narratrice met en lumière, par des réinterprétations des contes du Petit Chaperon rouge, de La Belle au bois dormant et de Blanche-Neige, différents aspects de sa détresse face à l’oppression du regard masculin. Quant à Christine Angot, dans Peau d’âne, elle propose, par une réécriture du conte de Peau d’âne en parallèle avec celui de La Belle au bois dormant, de révéler les répercussions perverses des dictats de la mode et de la loi du père sur l’identité de la femme. Toutes ces réécritures permettent de déjouer la logique valorisée par les contes et d’en démontrer l’absurdité et le caractère malsain d’un point de vue féministe.

Cultural orienteering: a map for Anthony Browne`s into the forest

Bullen and Parsons identify Anthony Browne's picture book Into the Forest as a re-gendered retelling of 'Little Red Riding Hood' that expresses recent assumptions about childhood, risk and the resources children need to survive in today's world. In Browne's version, the forest is the terrain in which a young male protagonist imaginatively explores his anxiety about his father's unexplained absence.

As crianças protagonistas dos contos de fadas dos Irmãos Grimm

The origins of the fairy tales are lost in the past but these tales are, even today, great teaching instruments because they relate to language development, creativity, social relations, and especially with the internalization of values and behavior patterns. According to Bettelheim (1980), fairy tales assure the children that the difficulties can be overcome, no matter how insignificant they feel. In this sense, these tales are power tools. We understand that fairy tales - and their characters - have the power to influence their readers/listeners. Therefore, this study considered four fairy tales in which the protagonists are children and remain as children all though the narratives: Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel Snow White and Rose Red and Thumbling, from Grimm Tales, translated into Portuguese by David Jardim Junior and published in 2008 by Itatiaia. We sought investigate how the children characters of these stories act, leveraging a reflection grounded on the image of children that emerge from the selected tales - images that have been registered in the first decades of the nineteenth century by the Brothers Grimm in their Children's and Household Tales - enabling the identification of the kinds of behavior that they perform and the values they embody, thus contributing to a better understanding of the models that these characters offer to the twenty-first century's children. Our research has a qualitative approach of bibliographic nature, mainly grounded in the ideas of Bettelheim (1980) and Ariès (1981). We found that there is a shortage of studies on the tales collected/maintained by the Brothers Grimm, although these stories have become classics of universal children's literature and continue, cradling the imagination of Western children in the twenty-first century. The Church of the Abandoned Christ: David Peace's 'Red Riding Quartet' and the Wreck of the White Ship

David Peace’s novel Nineteen Seventy-seven concludes with the hack journalist Jack Whitehead being granted a terrifying apocalyptic vision, seconds before he is trepanned with a Phillips screwdriver by the sinister Reverend Martin Laws. Included in this vision is a curious reference to the wreck of the White Ship, a maritime disaster in 1120 that drowned William Atheling, heir to the English throne, and ultimately doomed England to years of civil war. This article explores Peace’s strange use of the shipwreck in his “Red Riding Quartet,” particularly the way he links it—in the quartet’s final volume, Nineteen Eighty Three—to a revisionist account of the aftermath of the crucifixion that leads a wounded Christ to a tragic death in the cold waters of the English Channel.

Die Grausamkeit des Märchens -Historische Hintergründe und Entwicklung von Basile, über Perrault bis zu den Gebrüdern Grimmanhand ausgesuchter Märchen

The topic of the following thesis is cruelty in fairy tales. For the work on hand the following fairy tales were used to examine the historical roots of the topic as well as pedagogical background: Red Riding Hood from the Brothers Grimm and Perrault as well as Han-sel and Gretel another tale of the Grimm Collection, the Tom Thumb-Version of Perrault and Ninillo und Nennella from Basile. Af-ter a short introduction to the meaning of fairy tales, the stories are retold and analyzed as well as compared to their most probable historical background and it shows that what seems to be cruel to-day had a very different meaning in the past.
